Nelson Mandela University wishes to announce the appointment of Mr Lebogang Hashatse as Deputy Vice-Chancellor: Institutional Support, with effect from 1 August 2018.

Mr Hashatse joined Nelson Mandela University in February 2015 as the Senior Director: Communication and Stakeholder Liaison, a portfolio responsible for directing, leading and monitoring the medium to long-term vision of the CSL division at the University.

From 2009 to January 2015, he was the Director of Communications and Marketing at Rhodes University, and a member of the Senior Administration Management. Prior to his tenure at Rhodes University, he held senior management positions in the corporate and parastatal environment.

He has also been spearheading the design of business and enterprise development models as a means to manage these and other estates and facilities functions.

Mr Hashatse holds a Master’s in Media Studies from Edith Cowan University in Perth, Australia; a BA Honours in Media Studies, Politics and Industrial Sociology, and a Bachelor of Journalism and Media Studies from Rhodes University.
